Welcome to our Family Restaurant, celebrating 32 years in business!
The Hilltop Inn is a full service restaurant founded by Mark and Marie Helfrich in the fall of 1987 just south of Park Rapids on Long Lake . It started as a lowly spot to come and grab some lunch but quickly found it's niche as a casual dinner destination for families of all ages.
When we say family owned and operated, we mean it! You'll probably see the oldest son Jake in the kitchen (and his kids running around the place). The middle daughter, Emma up from the cities serving from time to time. And the youngest daughter, Carly hosting or serving (in from St. Paul). The girls look like Marie as she's easy to spot always somewhere around the restaurant making sure all is in order. Mark is usually behind the scenes in the kitchen but loves to chat with the regulars.
Hilltop Inn is best known for it's prime rib, walleye, burgers, frosty mugs of
Old Mill, seasonal taps and wine selection. The weekly specials are always excellent including different pastas, salads, salmon, or other seafood, specialty steaks and chef favorites changing often. Have a request? We'd love to hear it and maybe test it out with the customers.
As more people discovered the Hilltop, more and more upgrades are installed; decor, a new kitchen, new tables, chairs, the list is never ending. We hope you like what we've done with the place, but more importantly, we hope you enjoy our food. Enjoy!!
